Basics of moral rights

Moral rights exist to protect an artist’s reputation and to ensure that he or she is properly credited as being the creator of the work, and to ensure the work does not suffer any derogatory treatment. Essentially, they protect your work from being abused.

The articles in this section focus on:

  • Your right to be indentified as the author of the work
  • Protection from derogatory treatment
  • Protection from false attribution
  • Duration of moral rights
