Gasworks is based by the Oval Cricket ground in South East London. It comprises a gallery and fifteen artists studios. Twelve studios are rented to London based artists and three are reserved for an International Residency Programme that enables non-UK based artists to live and work in London for a period up to three months. Weekend gallery talks by exhibiting artists and regular talks by international artists participating in the residency programme. Occasional seminars and events connected to Gasworks ongoing programme. All events are free.

Serpentine Gallery

The Serpentine Gallery presents a programme of modern and contemporary art and collaborates regularly with international and national partners. The gallery commissions new work from artists, runs a wide ranging education and outreach programme and a bookshop specialising in art criticism, aesthetic and cultural theory and philosophy as well as monographs, catalogues and art journals. Level access to gallery and bookshop on ground floor. Artists, curators and writers give regular talks on Saturdays, based on the current exhibition.

The V&A is the national museum of applied and decorative arts. Explore their permanent collections, collected from sources worldwide, including fashion and textiles, sculpture, ceramics and glass, metalwork, silver and jewellery, furniture, photography and paintings. V&A/RCA Course in the History of Design from 1400 to the present: This is a two year full-time course. It now offers a new MA under the History of Design umbrella, titled 'Renaissance Decorative Arts and Culture'. PhD applications are also welcome covering the period 1450-present. The Hayward, a purpose-built, modern art gallery, was opened in 1968. It is considered an icon of sixties 'brutalist' architecture. The Gallery plays a vital role in the visual arts in the UK and internationally. As one of the largest and most versatile temporary art exhibition spaces in Britain, it has proved remarkably adaptable in presenting a wide range of ground-breaking exhibitions over more than thirty years. Exhibitions are by invitation only. Wide range of gallery talks, lectures and other events and are usually included in the cost of the ticket to the exhibition.

The Goethe-Institute is the main advocate of German culture in London, and is funded by the German Government. New and exciting photographic work by young German artists is shown in the exhibition space available in the café. Candidates should have be of German origin or have some connection to Germany. The South London Gallery is one of London's foremost contemporary art exhibition spaces, committed to a challenging curatorial programme showing the work of local, national and international living artists.
