    Founded in September 1983, this organisation represents the professional interests of the Australian visual arts and crafts sector through advocacy, representation and service provision. It is run by a board of up to nine directors, five elected by the members representing the interests of visual arts practitioners and organisations and drawn from at least four Australian states/territories, and up to four co-opted members with other specialist skills in the area of law, business development and fundraising, politics, marketing and promotion and media. It offers a wide range of services and resources to the sector, including publications, codes of practice, the establishment of different networks and agencies for the sector, organisation of training forums and workshops. Furthermore, it administers five grants for artists.

    As the peak representative body for visual artists in Western Australia, artsource provides practical support and information services to over 2000 artists, art workers, clients and associates.

  • LabforCulture

    LabforCulture provides the latest information on cultural cooperation in Europe. Features case studies of inspiring projects, a who's who of cultural cooperation organisations and networks, and information and advice on funding and sponsorship. There are links to the most popular online arts and culture newsletters, articles, events, bibliographies, library catalogues and information guides. Other sections on the site include Region in Focus, an in-depth look at particular geographic areas, and Research in Focus which covers the hot cultural issues facing Europe today. Users are encouraged to actively participate in the site by submitting their own views, news, opportunities, and by joining web blogs on cultural themes. The site is complemented by a whole range of offline activities including workshops, and conferences.
