    The Klondike Institute of Art & Culture is accepting applications from visual, media and interdisciplinary artists for it's Artist in Residence Program. The residence accommodates up to 2 artists concurrently for research, development and production of ongoing or new bodies of work. Artists may also have the opportunity to facilitate outreach programs such as talks, open studios, workshops and exhibitions, intended to promote interaction and professional development, and provide exposure and access to a diverse range of contemporary arts practices and theories within the community. Residencies are 4 to 12 weeks in duration starting from January 1, 2007 through to December 31, 2007. Artists are provided at no cost with individual studio space and bedroom, with shared living facilities. The Artist in Residence program is located in the Macaulay Residence. Built in 1901, the home is now owned by Parks Canada as part of the Dawson Historical Complex National Historic Site of Canada. Deadline: 1 April annually

    Eyebeam residencies support the creative research, production and presentation of initiatives querying art, technology and culture. The 5 month residency is a period of concentration and immersion in artistic investigation, daring research or production of visionary, experimental applications and projects. Past initiatives have ranged from moving image, sound and physical computing works to technical prototypes, installations and public interventions. Residents receive 24/7 studio access, an honorarium, access to cutting-edge tools, expert technical support from Eyebeam staff, production help from apprentices and the option to show work at Eyebeam.

    Rhizome provides emerging or established artists with residences for research and experimentation. Special consideration will be given to artists exploring boundaries between local life, environment and the arts. Its purpose is to co-exist with the community life, promoting material as well as cultural heritage of Yunnan. Disciplines: Visual arts/Performing arts/ Architecture/Literature//New Media.     Individual and group residencies where 'ideas, music, poetry, art and more can be developed, tried out and eventually disseminated'. It also encourages and affects thinking about the place of artists, creative thinkers and culture in specific communities and in the society at large. Residencies can vary in length from one week to one month. Creative Residencies are available January - May and September - December as summer workshops use the majority of the facilities June - August. A residency can involve active engagement with Centrum programs, other artists, Fort Worden State Park or Port Townsend, or it can serve as a reflective retreat.

    Kyoto Art Center offers an Artists-in-Residence program for emerging artists and art researchers, such as visual and performing arts, music, and dance- who wish to cultivate artistic creativities in Kyoto. The applications are accepted in March every year. A sum of 200,000 yen is granted for each qualified applicant (whether an individual or a group) toward the expenses of production or research.

    Artist residencies to both U.S. and international artists. Residencies range from 2-8 weeks. Residents are provided with housing and studios and receive a stipend of $100 per week.

    AIAV supports artists involved in a wide range of artistic fields such as music, art, dance and theatre. The residency is open to young and unestablished artists (no limitation on age or artistic disciplines). The Residence Program, lasting 70 days, provides the time and place for artists to experience new encounters and carry out experiments for their future projects. Artists have to be younger than 40 years old.

    Starting October 2008, Anderson Ranch will offer a restructured artists residency program designed to encourage the creative, intellectual and personal growth of emerging and established visual artists. Finalists will be chosen on the basis of artistic merit by an independent jury of established working artists and will live and work at Anderson Ranch for a two or three month residency period. Resident artists will be provided with housing, studio space, meals and certain other benefits and will be required to submit only a nominal residency fee of $100. Residencies will be offered twice a year, duting the Spring tern and during Autumn Term.
