How to get an exhibition

There is no one, specific, correct way to get an exhibition, and much of your success will depend on your professionalism, existing network and, of course, the quality of your work.

As with many other opportunities, exhibitons generally follow on from one another so once you have had your first, the rest become much more easy to obtain.

This section covers many different ways to approach galleries and curators and ways in which you might consider presenting yourself to organisations.  An extensive section also covers how to make your own opportunities and arrange your own exhibitions; for an even more in depth approach to this, see the How to set up an artist led space article also in this area of the site.
