  • Hotel Mariakapel - Neatherlands

    HMK {Hotel Mariakapel} is an artist-run residency and project space in Hoorn, a 15th century town by the IJsselmeer, just 40 km north of Amsterdam. They are offering a number of residencies for their 2013 programme. A free accomodation and studio is provided to complete a period of work culminating in a final exhibition in the adjacent exhibition space. They are looking for projects that make full use of the unique opportunities offered. The long stays at HMK lead to intensive local and international collaboration while developing new individual and/or group work for an exhibition or other presentation in HMK and/or in Hoorn. HMK focuses on collaborations and group-projects (between 3 and 6 artists).
     

  • DAO digital artist commission

    As part of the Diverse Perspectives programme DAO is looking to commission a South East-based digital artist to collaborate with one or two Outside In artists to make a series of short, moving image, digital works to be showcased on the Outside In and Disability Arts Online websites. DAO are looking for proposals from artists who identify with having an impairment or who consider themselves disabled, who would be keen to liaise with Outside In artists who are interested in having a unique aspect of their artistic process captured for posterity. DAO are offering £1500 fee for commission.

  • Crate Curatorial Bursary

    Crate is offering an opportunity to develop an 18-month programme for its project spaces, starting early in 2013. This opportunity is aimed at artists and curators who have previous experience of curating and coordinating projects and who are happy to self direct a programme and work independently. The successful applicant for the bursary will receive a £1000 fee to develop a programme proposal including funding applications. The funding applications will include a negotiable curator’s fee as part of the proposed budget.
     

  • Airspace

    Submissions are invited in all media that depict or incorporate some aspect of air. The exhibition will be held in the iconic Waterfront Gallery, University Campus Suffolk. There will be a selectors prize of £300. Entry fee: £15

  • Istanbul Design Biennial

    The first edition of the Istanbul Design Biennial will be held from 13 October to 12 December 2012 by the Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts. Submissions for the two exhibitions “Musibet”, and “Adhocracy” will be independently curated by Emre Arolat and Joseph Grima within the framework of the biennial theme “Imperfection”. The Istanbul Design Biennial, explores all related creative fields. There are no disciplinary or geographic limitations to the projects that can be submitted for inclusion in the biennial. More information will be released at a press conference in March 2012.

     

  • Re Open

    In order to promote the best in contemporary printmaking, and to spotlight new talent, the Royal Society of Painter Printmakers (RE) is launching a brand new printmaking exhibition: the RE OPEN. Approximately 200 works will be selected for an exhibition at Bankside Gallery and a wide range of significant prizes will be awarded, including: Brangwyn Memorial Prize of £1000 for an outstanding print. Fee: £25.00 per entry .
     

  • Videobrasil em Contexto Prize

    The Associação Cultural Videobrasil in partnership with Casa Tomada ( Brazil) and Delfina Foundation (UK) are pleased to invite applicants from Brazil and the Middle East, North Africa & South Asia (MENASA) for a three-month artistic residency split between São Paulo and London. The prize is focused on artists, under the age of 35, whose practice involves a strong element of research and production. The prize offers: 12 weeks residency including accommodation and work space, transport, a prize amount of US$ 5,000.00, per diem allowance of US$ 2,500.00 (paid in São Paulo) plus £ 1,000.00 (paid in London)

  • Watershed studio Residencies 2012

    Watershed is offering two artists an opportunity to spend supported time at Pervasive Media Studio in Bristol, to research new projects at the intersection of art, technology and culture. The residencies are open to UK-based artists (artists can apply as individuals or groups) from varied disciplines who are looking for the time and space to research innovative ideas, develop experimental works and make new connections. Each artist will receive research, development and production support and the residency will last for two months, beginning on 1 Oct 2012, culminating in a showcase event in early December.

  • The Impakt Festival curators

    The Impakt Festival is a multi-media festival with conferences, readings, performances, screenings, exhibitions, and music. The curatorial proposal can be submitted by curators individually or collectively and should revolve around this year's theme, No More Westerns: the changing image culture under the influence of geo-political changes worldwide. There is a budget for compiling the program including artists and screening fees, travelling and accommodation expenses, technical and building overhead.   • Exhibition as medium end symposium

    This symposium will present two keynote presentations on possibility and spectatorship by Janna Graham and Dave Beech respectively, along with each project as part of the Exhibition as Medium programme being reviewed and discussed by those involved. The symposium will end with a discussion, leading to an open dialogue inviting questions and thoughts from all attendees. Tickets £10, concessions £5.
     

  • The Founders’ Sculpture Prize

    The sponsors of the Founder's Sculpture prize 2012/2013 invite entries from figurative sculptors in the first ten years of their sculpting careers, for this biennal competition for a First Prize of £5,000 and a bronze cast of the winning sculpture, which will be figurative using the human form.

  • The RBS EnterprisingU

    The RBS EnterprisingU is a nationwide business plan competition hosted by Find Invest Grow (FIG), sponsored by the RBS Group and LinkedIn. The competition is open to any student or graduate (of the past 5 years) who has an idea that needs investment to help kick-start the business. At the final event, up to 10 finalists will have the opportunity to pitch for investment to a room full of high net worth individuals and active investors who are looking to mentor and fund student and recent graduate start-up businesses. Students and recent graduates are given the chance to win cash prizes from £5,000 to £25,000 to help start their company.
