Four evening sessions and a Saturday morning service each week, involving approximately 60 volunteer lawyers. The lawyers come to Toynbee on a pro-bono basis from a number of different law firms, barristers' chambers and some are postgraduate law students. The service has operated continuously since 1898, helping over 50 people a week on average. See the website for a breakdown of which specific legal areas are covered on which days and evenings. Special women-only sessions available.

The first Wednesday of every month is dedicated to clients involved in the arts. Students studying intellectual property law research legal issues under the supervision of volunteer solicitors and provide written advice. Additionally, on Tuesdays and Thursdays, the Centre offers advice in the following areas: Landlord/tenant disputes; Basic leasehold/freehold issues; Employment law; Consumer transactions; Basic contract issues. On the last Wednesday of every month QMUL LAC also offer a Pink Law service, offering advice to the LGBT Community on the following areas: Civil Partnerships; Cohabitation; Employment discrimination. The service is available during term time only: September to May yearly.

Their panel of experts accept email queries and provide online video about issues facing the industry. The site also provides information for people looking for work in the media and TV industries.

The LawWorks works with volunteer legal advisors who provides the legal advice for free to small charities, not for profit, voluntary and community organisations and sometimes individuals. They can help you with a wide variety of legal work including company law, employment law, intellectual property law, property law, tax/VAT law etc. For individuals they help settle disputes by way of a mediation.

Mary Ward Legal Centre is a registered charity based in Holborn WC1. The Legal Centre provides free legal advice, casework and representation in the main areas of social welfare law to people who live or work in London. The main areas of law they can help with are debt, employment, housing and welfare benefits.

The City Enterprise Service is a free walk-in centre offering assistance for small businesses and technology start-ups.The service provides advice on a range of business and legal matters. It is run by law students of The City Law School and supervised by local professionals and experienced start-up owners. No booking is required.
