Studios

Public studios, funded by government or charities as in the UK, are virtually unheard of, and as a result many artists cannot afford to pay for studios themselves.

A major source of studios is the city councils of the larger cities (such as Warsaw, Wroclaw, Krakow or Poznan), where artists can apply for subsidised rents on some of themany vacant council properties. The number of such studios is very limited.

Recently, some private commercial art institutions have started to rent space as art studios, such as Browar Mieszczanski in Wroclaw.
