Submit a Listing

Introduction

If you have suggestions for useful updates to the Artquest website - either for new listings, existing listings or opportunities - please fill in the form below to send it to us. Each week we receive around 80-120 update requests which are individually checked and edited by Artquest staff, so please be patient if your update is not acted upon immediately. We aim to update the site at least twice a week.

What to use this form for

  • NEW LISTINGS: Venues, residencies, marketing companies, studios, funders or any other information in the listing sections on this website. Have a look at the information we currently list to get a good idea of what we can list.
  • UPDATED LISTINGS: If you already have a listing on the Artquest site, please let us know what the ID number is to avoid duplication. This is shown underneath every listing on the site.
  • OPPORTUNITIES: These are date-dependent activities or events that artists and craftspeople can get involved with. Examples include deadlines for commissions, residencies, exhibitions or funding; talks programmes or conferences; art fairs or biennales.

What Artquest cannot list

Please note that Artquest are unable to list any of the following, nor will we send these items out on our Email Newsletter:

  • Job opportunities. Try Arts Council England's free jobs email mailing list, ArtsJobs.
  • Exhibitions. There are a number of email newsletters that can advertise your exhibition elsewhere on this site.
  • Buying and selling of artists equipment. We can list services for sale / swap in the relevant section of the site.

Important notes for listings

  • Fill in as much information as appropriate to make sure the listing is as accurate and full as possible.
  • Enter your listing exactly as you would like it to appear (proper capitalisation, grammar etc). Every listing has to be checked by a member of Artquest staff before being published on the site, so making the listing correctly will speed up the editing process and allow it to appear sooner.
  • Please do not use line breaks or paragraphs as these will be deleted by the system.
  • Please type listing information only in the appropriate boxes below - for example, telephone numbers only in the telephone boxes; email addresses in the email boxes etc. The description box should not contain website or other contact information as this will not display correctly in the final listing.
  • Ensure one-off or time-specific listings are only placed in the Opportunities section. Listings that are not date dependent are suitable for any other section on the site. Opportunities on the Artquest site are only deadlines, talks or fairs - all other listings need to go in another section.
  • Artquest reserves the right to edit or refuse any listing deemed inappropriate for the site.

If you have any problems with the form, please contact Simona Dell'Agli at simona@artquest.org.uk, in the office only on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Update an existing listing

If you're are suggesting a change to an existing listing, please enter the Artquest Listing ID (found under the title of each listing) in this box. This is only required if you are updating an existing listing.

Please note that if you are updating an existing listing you will still need to fill in all the information boxes for the listing, not just the boxes that have changed.

Opportunity Listing

If you are submitting an Opportunity listing please enter the date/deadline below.

An opportunity on Artquest can only be a deadline date for an exhibition, funding source, conference paper, residency etc; a talk, seminar or lecture; or a fair or festival. Where the opportunity requires a start and end date, put the start date in here and include the date range in the description box at the bottom of this form.

Choose page(s) on Artquest

Select the page(s) you would like your listing to appear on. Artquest reserves the right to select a more appropriate page, or multiple pages, if necessary. International (non-UK) listings should all go in the International section.

If you have added a date above please select an OPPORTUNITY section in the drop-down menus.
