UK based painters are invited to apply for the second Jerwood Painting Fellowships, to be awarded to three outstanding artists in the first five years of their professional practice. The purpose of the Fellowships is to offer structured opportunities for artists to develop in two distinctive areas: studio practice and professional development. The three selected painters will each receive a bursary of £10,000 and one year of critical and professional development support from mentors. During the Fellowship year each artist will work towards a body of new work, which will be exhibited in a group show as part of the JVA programme at Jerwood Space, London in March 2013, before touring within the UK. The mentors will curate the exhibition. Entry fee of £25 per artist.
