Artquest projects
Many artists and craftspeople use UK based residencies as useful time away from the studio and ordinary working life to think about their practice. They are also useful to network with other artists and develop professionalism. Many also offer exhibitions at the end of the residency, or the chance to work with members of the local community. The most prestigious attract a fee, accommodation and materials expenses, but a significant number require the artist to pay a fee or for their own provisions during the residency. This section provides comprehensive listings and information on most of the UK's art and craft residency programmes.
International residencies are also listed on Artquest inew Artroute section.
