Writing grant applications

Introduction

Every grant application you write will have some things in common with each other.  This general overview does not aim to answer all your questions about writing applications, but tries instead to give you points to consider while you are researching and writing applications.

In all instances, the best and most reliable source of information about the fund you are applying for will be the organisation you are applying to and their application literature.  Starting here, making contact with the organisation and asking all the specific questions you have about the fund will both show your interest and self-organisation to them, and increase your chances of success.

There is also specific information discussing applications to companies and to trusts and foundations in this section.
