The University of Liverpool wishes to commission a new work of art for the central atrium of the new Central Teaching Laboratory (CTL). The work should reflect the role and ambition of the CTL in an appropriate manner. The method by which this is expressed artistically is left entirely to the entrant. A budget of £17,500 is offered, to include all materials, fees, installation, commissions and any other related costs.

Entries for the new award, The Sidney Myer Fund Australian Ceramic Art Award, are now open for both Australian and International ceramic artists. There will be three recipients of the award, each of whom will receive a significant stipend to produce a body of work for exhibition, on the understanding that the gallery will select one work for its collection. Costs associated with the exhibition will be borne by the gallery, including freight and the production of a fully illustrated catalogue. The gallery will also pay airfares and accommodation for recipient artists to attend the opening event and present at the associated seminar. There will be six months between the announcement of award recipients and the delivery of works to the gallery. Award is AUD$ 25,000.

Applications are now open for the postgraduate programme at The Prince's Drawing School which will run from Sept 2010 to Sept 2011. 25 places are available and all fees are paid, with some maintenance bursaries available. Students are required to attend a minimum of two days and one evening a week. Now in its ninth year, the Drawing Year offers tuition, tutorial support and studio space in a prime location at the Tea Building on Shoreditch High Street Admission is based on portfolio and interview. Double Elephant Print Workshop and Devon Records Office are calling for submissions of interest from artists of all disciplines wishing to create artwork on the theme of Politics. The work will be inspired by the resources available at Devon Records Office and must in part be realised through the medium of printmaking. A total of six commissions are on offer, each worth up to £400, consisting of:£150 cash per artist or collaborative group of artists, and up to £250 worth of printmaking tuition/support provided by Double Elephant Print Workshop.

Zest, based within Plymouth Hospitals NHS Trust, have an opportunity for two artists, who will work concurrently, over a 12-month period. One artist will work in digital media and one in either 2D or 3D art forms. Both projects will generate high quality art works as well as allowing time for research. During their time with Zest, the Associate Artist will have to run a series of workshops and events for patients and staff. Fee: £21,000 per artist, to include all travel, subsistence and VAT.
