Craft Central (used to be Clerkenwell Green Association) supports craftpeople in numerous ways. It offers business training, tailored mentoring, networking opportunities and studio space. The Work Experience Programme with CGA has two elements. One is to provide placements for individual students wishing to experience a variety of different craft/design areas first hand. The second is for visiting groups of students to spend a day around the workshops meeting craftspeople and designers and discussing their work and background. CGA financially supports craftspeople based in Camden, Hackney, Islington and Tower Hamlets in a number of ways. This includes the Clerkenwell Award to support newly trained craftspeople set up business; The Pennybank Showcase which includes a display and exhibition space, support and training and travelling showcases; Business Development support through in-house consultants, grants and IT resources; and a schools Work Experience Programme. Workshops vary in size, from under 100 sq ft to over 400 sq ft. They are operated on a simple monthly licence, fully inclusive of business rates. Cockpit Arts is a registered charity providing help and support for designer/makers and applied artists. Workspaces are available for up to eight years on an annual sliding scale of charges and include access to computers, photocopier, fax and inclusion in two major selling events each year. Professional development, outreach activities and mentoring schemes are also run by the education office. Other services include a business incubator housing 165 designer-makers across two sites in WC1 and SE8. Cockpit Arts provides a customised targeted training programme for designer/makers that provides one to one consultations as well as group seminars. The Developing Professional Practice Programme runs for a whole year and is tailored to fit into the highs and lows of a designer/makers calendar.

Photofusion is London's largest independent photography resource centre providing access to a full range of facilities including contemporary gallery space, darkrooms, studio, digital imaging training, picture library, agency and ongoing photo-art education programme for professional, student and amateur photographers. Artsadmin provides a comprehensive management service and national resource for contemporary artists who cross the spectrum of new theatre, dance, music, live art and mixed media work. The organisation provides practitioners with administrative support, develops and promotes artists' work and establishes partnerships with producers, promoters and relevant arts organisations in the UK and abroad. Artsadmin also administers an Artists' Bursary scheme for live art/time based media artists, and/or any one of the following in combination with the above: new performance, installation, text, sound, digital technology and projected image. You must have received a fellowship or no strings-attached awards within the last six months of the closing date and been making work professionally within the last 12 months of the closing date. You should also not be in receipt of fixed term funding or revenue funding. Priority will be given to artists who intend to make particular use of Toynbee Studios during the period of their bursary. The Artsmin Busrsary offer artists time to experiment with new ways of working, to practically research or take an idea further, or to further their creative process without the pressure of having to realize a final outcome or 'product'. The Clore Leadership Programme, established in 2003 by the Clore Duffield Foundation, is an initiative to strengthen leadership across the arts. Applications are open to any EU resident who has had at least five years' work experience, in the cultural sector or beyond. The flexibly designed fellowship will normally last for one year, during which Clore Fellows will attend two intensive residential leadership courses, receive individual tuition and mentoring, extend their management experience through a high profile secondment and have an opportunity to engage in reflection and research. Fellows will have the option of remaining with their present employers, and following the course in stages, or of receiving a full-time bursary of £20,000. The Short Courses have been designed for people in the middle ranks of cultural organisations or those at or near the top of smaller ones, and who have a minimum of five years' work experience. The teaching is a potent mixture of the practical and the academic, providing a large measure of intensive personal development, an examination of the nature of good leadership and an introduction to key areas of expert knowledge essential to effective cultural leadership.

This workshop leaders training course for disabled and deaf artists is run in partnership with LIPA (Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts). It is the first course of its kind, and fully accredited by Liverpool's John Moores University. MEDIA is a six year programme of the European Union to strengthen the competitiveness of the European film, TV and new media industries and to increase the international circulation of European audiovisual product. MEDIA Plus commenced on 1 January 2001 and will run to 31 December 2006. With a budget of €513 million (around £350 million) MEDIA Plus supports professional training (screenwriting, business and new technologies), project development (single/slate), and the distribution and promotion of European audiovisual works. Independent production and distribution companies can apply for development or distribution funding in the form of grants and interest free loans. Financial assistance is available for training providers and organisers of markets and festivals. Individuals may also benefit from subsidised places on training courses and international markets. Support is available for production and new media companies, sales agents, distributors, festival and market organisers, training providers and exhibitors.
