Hunt & Darton: on earning a living

Live art duo Hunt & Darton address the question of how artists (without an easily sellable output) might earn enough to live and support their practice without spending all their time working for money.

Hunt & Darton are a Live Art Collaboration between Jenny Hunt and Holly Darton. They are the creators of the award-winning Hunt & Darton Cafe, a pop-up interactive performance/installation and fully-functioning café where food, service and business are the art with guest waiters, themed days and hosted talks. Hunt & Darton shared their motivations and strategies in establishing the Cafe as both a practice and sustainable business during a presentation in the Practice 360 series of talks run by Artquest in partnership with Camden Arts Centre.
