Binita Walia: practice in a recession

Trade Secrets Episode 10: Binita Walia on practising in the current climate.

Binita Walia used to work predominantly on architectural glass commissions for both private and public clients. In this interview she explains how the credit crunch has impacted on her practice and led her to develop it. Binita took part in 2004 at the first Artquest’s Forum, a Peer to Peer mentoring group.

This film was originally commissioned by Artquest for our tenth anniversary in 2010 as part of the Trade Secrets series, asking ten artists to reflect on their experiences and advice. Filming and editing by Matthew Crichtley; filmed on location at Conway Hall.
