Contemporary Applied Arts

Website: http://www.caa.org.uk

Contemporary Applied Arts is Britain’s largest gallery specialising in the exhibition and sale of contemporary crafts. It was founded in 1948 as the Crafts Centre of Great Britain to support and promote the best craftwork both locally and internationally, continuing the tradition of the great 19th and early 20th century Arts & Crafts movement. It now represents over 200 makers who exhibit and sell their work through this architect-designed gallery. Professionals working in the applied arts in the British Isles may apply for membership; this allows them to exhibit and sell their work through the gallery and gain access to possible commissions.
