Established by artists for artists, DACS is a not-for-profit visual artists’ rights management organisation that acts as a broker for 90,000 artists worldwide. Since DACS was founded in 1984, they have collected and distributed over £75 million in royalties to visual artists and their estates (over £15m in 2014). Current programmes include Payback, Dutch Public Lending Right, Artist’s Resale Right, Copyright Licensing and Artimage.

DACS also campaigns for artists’ rights, and in this capacity have worked with Artquest on a number of programmes such as The New Economy of Art series of debates (2012) and publication (2014).
