The Jerwood Space is a major initiative of the Jerwood Foundation providing rehearsal facilities for young dance and theatre companies at a greatly reduced cost. Housed in the converted buildings of a Victorian school, the studios are also available to established companies at competitive rates. The contemporary art gallery has a free year-round exhibition programme featuring Jerwood Visual Arts initiatives including: Jerwood Contemporary Painters, Jerwood Sculpture Prize, Jerwood Applied Arts Prize, Jerwood Drawing Prize and the Jerwood Photograhy Awards.
