Media Lab-Prado

Website: http://medialab-prado.es/

Medialab-Prado was founded in 2002 at the Conde Duque Cultural Centre as a municipal (and therefore public) media laboratory and developed a unique identity within the digital culture field. It is a meeting space for artists, programmers and scientists to collectively develop ideas, projects and prototypes. Contributors are selected through international open calls, under the umbrella of free culture practices. Incidentally, Medialab Prado is a program of the Madrid City Council and has no institutional relationship wit El Prado Museum. Medialad offers support via space, tutorials and materials. They promote research and have hosted workshops around topics like Visual Play, Garage Science, Technologies of Laughter, Magic and Technology.
