West Dean College of Arts and Conservation offers accredited courses ranging from a part-time Diploma in Art and Contemporary Crafts to full-time Graduate Diploma and MFA study. Students can focus on specialist studio practice, with large individual studio space, year-round access to exhibition spaces, a range of visiting artists and lecturers, and specialist facilities.
The vision of founder and Surrealist patron Edward James connects students with a rich heritage of art. Students have the opportunity to engage with site-specific subjects, individual objects or references to the College’s history relating to Edward James, surrealism and beyond
