Amsterdam Light Festival Call for Concepts

Amsterdam Light Festival invites artists,designers,engineers and architects to submit ideas for artworks to be staged at the festival’s 2016 – 2017 edition. The festival will include two themes which both relate to one of each of the exhibition routes. Biomimicry focuses on sustainable solutions to human challenges,by emulating nature’s patterns and strategies,and relates to the walking route,Illuminade. View on Amsterdam is about Amsterdam,its history,its architecture,its relations and international role,as well as its future and relates to the boat route,¬†Water Colors. The festival invites anyone to submit individual interpretations of these themes. There is a submission fee of 35 Euros. Selected artists will be paid a designer’s fee,labour hours plus a fee for acquisition of the artwork.¬†
