Axisweb Award: Research and Development Bursary

Website: https://www.axisweb.org/awards/research-and-development/

The Axisweb Research and Development Bursary seeks to support members in the evolution of ideas to support their artistic practice. There will be three rounds of the R&D Bursary in 2020 supporting a total of six awards, two per round. Successful recipients each receive £500, access to advice and support from Axisweb staff / Trustees. Axisweb are looking for applications from artists able to demonstrate a critical framework in approach and have a desire to challenge their practice. This is about your development and how our R&D Bursary can support and develop your ideas and ambition. You will have a clear idea of the type of research and development you need. This could include, but is not limited to: Attending a series of workshops or classes, self-initiated residencies, meeting a specific artist, spending time in archives or visiting exhibitions. While a concrete outcome is not expected, we would like to share your experience with the rest of Axisweb members. Examples of documentation could include a short piece of reflective writing or photographs of your progression. You must be a member of Axisweb to apply.
