The 2016 Bournemouth Arts by the Sea Festival will be an eight-day festival opening with a weekend of free outdoor events throughout the town. Venues for the 2016 festival encompass Bournemouth’s gardens, waterfront arena, beachfront and pier, as well as over a dozen small gig spaces, theatres, libraries and cafes. The Art Brief for this year is ‘Visions and Voyages’. The festival is inviting artists working across a range of disciplines to apply to create a new commission for the festival. Successful artist applicants will receive funding, publicity around their commission and support from the festival’s production team to realise their idea. 1 lead commission of  £3500 and 3 supporting commissions of £2000 are available.
