British School at Rome – Abbey Awards

Abbey Awards offer all expenses paid residencies at the British School at Rome for artists showing exceptional merit and promise. The Abbey Scholarship offers an early career painter a full academic year (October to June) at the British School at Rome. The Abbey Fellowships offer mid-career painters three months at the School during the same period.
All living expenses are covered and stipends are paid. The Abbey Scholar will receive £1,000 per month and the Abbey Fellows will receive £1,500 per month. US and UK nationals and long term residents are eligible to apply. The BSR provides live work accommodation for around 35 artists and scholars; a supportive community of practitioners working independently and alongside each other. There is a submission fee of £25.
