In Context 4 – In Our Time Commissions
South Dublin County Council through its public art programme for 2016 – 2019, IN CONTEXT 4 – IN OUR TIME, invites applications from artists and arts practitioners to become a part of this programme of commissions. IN CONTEXT 4 – IN OUR TIME will assert the role of the ‘artist as citizen’ and the ‘artist as leader’ by asking artists to inspire a future for the County that is connected to a sense of place, community belonging and civic awareness. Each project value can be set between €15,000 and €50,000, fees and operating budget inclusive. Artists’ proposals are invited for temporary public art projects and no permanent works of art are envisaged. Artists may apply from outside of Ireland, as well as from Ireland, and while artists are not expected to live in the county, they will be in regular contact, making regular visits.
Expires: December 2, 2016
