We Made That has been appointed by Southwark Council to carry out a series of improvements in the East Street area of Walworth, London. They wish to commission an artist or designer to deliver a permanent piece of public art for the rooftop corner of 277-279 Walworth Road – at the junction of East Street and Walworth Road. Three shortlisted artists will receive £500 + VAT to work up design concepts. A total budget of £25,000 + VAT is available for realising the final artwork – this figure is envisaged to cover all fees, production costs, installation and permission fees required to realise the project.
