Gasworks Participation Residency

Website: http://www.gasworks.org.uk/opportunities/6-month-participation-residency-for-london-based-artist/

Gasworks invites applications for a 6 month participation residency for a London-based artist. Gasworks is seeking to appoint an artist whose practice is concerned with the advancement of participation within a contemporary art environment; who is committed to engaging with the local community around the Vauxhall area; and will deliver a diverse range of regular participatory educational activities in a creative and enjoyable way. The artist will be expected to programme a series of events, workshops, or other interactive activities aimed at local residents/community groups. The programme should incorporate the artist’s own practice as a means of developing a cohesive project with an overall output at the end of the residency. There is a fee of up to £9,000 depending on proposals (artists must be in residence 2-3 days a week) and a programme budget of £6,000 (includes materials for activities and final output).
