Groundwork Residency

Website: https://groundworkmk.com/apply/

Groundwork is looking for two (inter)national Site Artists, and one Milton Keynes associated Citation Artist to participate in Groundwork 2017. Site Artists adopt the position of artist-in-research to consider ways of responding to the location, context, history and geography of Milton Keynes through the lens of their own performative and arts practices. Site Artists are invited to spend 10 days undertaking a research-intensive residency, which offers time and space to explore how the people of Milton Keynes live, work and play. Each appointed Site Artist will receive remuneration at a rate of £2050 for the residency period, with additional travel, accommodation and per diems to be provided.

Citation Artists adopt the  position of artist-in-research to consider ways of capturing the creative experience of the appointed Site Artists’ time at Milton Keynes Arts Centre; reflecting on how these documentary materials can be re-presented or performed. The Citation Artist will receive a fee of £1500.
