Heritage Open Days are looking for 4 artists or artistic collaborations to work with local organisers to respond to the history of towns, cities and places through art inspired by LGBTQ heritage. Open to performing arts, visual arts or digital media. The commissioned creations may run throughout the Festival (e.g. as an exhibition or installation with surrounding workshops for public or targeted groups), or take place on specific dates (e.g. a sound commission animating public space with some live performance poetry staged throughout the weekend). Heritage Open Days commissioning range is minimum £5k up to £20k.
