idle women are inviting women to join them in an open boat invitation – women are welcome to express an interest to stay on board the Selina Cooper to work with them to generate an offer for other women in exchange for time aboard. Women can apply to stay for 2 nights up to two weeks between ​12 June – 20 August. Time in residence can be used for any creative means, a place to read and think, to draw, to make, to cook, to sew or to plot. In exchange for this private creative time they ask the residents to make an offer for other women, to facilitate a workshop, perform a reading, ​share a home made cheese & onion pie or teach a skill. The invitation is open to all women (over 21) in the UK and Ireland but will priorities women who have already had some involvement with idle women – especially those working in the womens sector, BME women and those living in the following areas – Blackburn & Darwen, Pendle, Hyndburn, Burnley , St Helen’s and North Kirklees.
