Lewisham Borough of Culture: Artists of Change residencies

Website: https://www.iamlewisham.uk/post/call-out-artists-of-change

Lewisham Borough of Culture are inviting expressions of interest for two artists, artist collectives or companies to be resident at the heart of Lewisham Council as part of the Mayor of London’s Borough of Culture 2022. Two ambitious 6-month residencies will take place within the Climate Emergency and Borough of Sanctuary teams. Working closely with Borough of Culture, Counterpoints Arts and Council teams, and with a network of community organisations and Lewisham residents, the artists will co-create new work to be shared as part of Refugee Week in June 2022. Each residency will result in a commissioned work and a fee of £1,500 per commission. In addition to this Lewisham Borough of Culture can cover artistic production costs up to £10,000. They will be offering an artist fee of £12,000 (inclusive of expenses). To apply, you must be London or UK-based, and be able to demonstrate an interest in, and connect with, the Borough of Lewisham. This opportunity is open to artists working in any artform including but not limited to music, dance, spoken-word, performance, visual and sculptural art, live art, cabaret and comedy.

Expires: October 1, 2021
