Applications are now open for 2020 Lucy Art Residency program and commission for visual artists working with photography. An artist based in Europe or the Mediterranean whose main practice is photography focused will be invited to spend two weeks in Kavala, Greece with transportation, accommodation and subsistence covered. Furthermore a per diem and an artist fee for the production of one artwork will be provided. Opportunities to meet with local art organisations and members of the community will be encouraged. The goal of the program is to provide artists with free time to think and experiment. It’s also an opportunity to interact, to communicate with the people and the city of Kavala. There is no requirement to produce during their stay and no final outcome is expected. The only exception a public talk in a cultural centre in the city that the artist will participate in.
Expires: February 13, 2020
