McKinney International Art and Design Residency

The School of Art and Design at Indiana University Bloomington invites applications for a 4-6 week Fall 2017 McKinney International Art and Design Residency. The residency is open to artists at all levels of their career whose primary country of residency is outside of the United States. Approximate dates for Fall 2017 are September 4th through Dec 15th. Applicants should be actively engaged in contemporary artistic practice and show evidence of a national or international exhibition record. Applications from practitioners of studio disciplines, as well as criticism, are welcome. The Artist-in-Residence is selected based on the merits of their professional careers, their dedication in being part of an academic environment and their plan to develop and expand on their creative process based on facilities and access to the unique collections and research specialties available at IU. Selected applicants will be featured as part of the McKinney Visiting Artist Lecture Series. In addition, prospective residents will coordinate with the School of Art and Design to offer studio visits, open studios and a workshop based on technical/conceptual innovations. Studio space, lodging and a $5,000 USD honorarium will be provided for each position. The program will reimburse travel up to $2000.
