MDP Summer Design Residency

The Media Design Practices (MDP) program at Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, CA invites Designers, Filmmakers, Architects, Artists, and Makers to submit a proposal for design-driven research to be conducted in Summer 2017, in residence in the MDP studio. The winning proposal should use Design / Making as a mode of inquiry into emerging issues in Science, Technology, culture, and / or society. The award includes project space in the MDP studio for up to 14 weeks together with access to the College’s shops and production facilities. The resident will also receive a $5,000 stipend and can submit a project budget for up to $5,000. The resident will work with a project team of 2–5 graduate student research assistants for 7 weeks.
