An opportunity for 5 x artists to produce an outdoor sculpture or installation on the themes of books and freedom to be commissioned by the Freedom Festival Arts Trust and Hull Culture and Leisure Library Services. Five publications will be commissioned from open call and featured in outdoor locations at this year’s Freedom Festival weekend, 2–4 September 2016 in Hull. There will be an artist’s fee of £3,000. Travel expenses for artists to attend Hull for the installation of the work will be covered in addition to the artist’s fee.
