Open Call: exhibition and off-site commission, Fabrica/Brighton Festival 2020

Website: https://www.fabrica.org.uk/otp-open-call-2020

Fabrica are seeking proposals for an artist commission for a Fabrica and Brighton Festival 2020 exhibition split across two sites in Brighton & Hove. These sites are: Fabrica, a contemporary art gallery in the city centre and an outdoor site in Moulsecoomb. The work will be temporary and will be exhibited at Fabrica April-May 2020, as part of Brighton Festival and during May in Moulsecoomb. Fabrica are looking for proposals that can work with some of the positive attributes of each site, e.g. the natural environment, physical space, community spirit and/or heritage of Moulsecoomb. And the historic, architectural and/or wider cultural connections of Fabrica’s building (Holy Trinity Church). Also that link with the themes of the 2020 Brighton Festival. The opportunity is open to artists, designers and makers who have a track record of working at scale and responding to site and ideally in responding to communities. There is a budget of £29,000 for both sites
