Open School East Associate Artists
Applications are invited from emerging artists to join Open School East. Open School East will be based at Resort Studios, Margate. Associates at Open School East are emerging practitioners with or without a BA, MA or formal artistic qualification, who are seeking a critical and informal environment in which to develop their practice. Open School East is an artists’ study programme that engages with its surroundings and with varied communities – artistic, local and otherwise. They provide an environment for artist-led learning through shared studio provision; weekly tuition and mentorship and support in the production of artistic projects. Free to attend and non-accredited, the study programme runs across eleven months – from February to December – and is principally self-directed, creating platforms for the associate artists to develop their practice.
Expires: October 31, 2016
