Open Space: Curatorial Residency
Website: https://www.openspacecontemporary.com/projects/open-call-curatorial-residency/
Open Space’s two-month residency in Istanbul gives young London-based curators the opportunity to engage with the Huma Kabakci Collection, whilst facilitating encounters with a network of Istanbul-based institutions and practitioners in the arts. The curator in residence is invited to develop a new site-responsive project that might take the form of an exhibition, publication, or discursive event to be presented in London in November 2020. Curators are encouraged in their application to draw ideas from Open Space’s 2020 Programme theme Manufacturing Memory, which questions the dichotomy between memory, nostalgia and technology through an interdisciplinary arts programme. The residency includes return travel from London, accommodation in Istanbul, Stipend of £500/month to cover transportation and food costs and a budget between £1500-£3000. In order to apply, you must be a London-based, emerging curator (with up to 5 years of professional experience).
Expires: March 1, 2020
