Applications for the 2017 Rebecca Vassie Memorial Award are open. The award offers a grant of £1,250 to complete a photography project, support from industry professionals, plus £1,150-worth of printing at Metro Imaging. They fund work with emphasis on people and communities; projects that make visible the everyday, marginalised or oppressed. They support early-to-mid career photographers in or from the UK, who are working professionally but not yet earning a full living from this kind of photography. This excludes BA (undergraduate) students and 2017 graduates. The bursary is open to photographers across a range of disciplines, from editorial to fine art.
