Ruth Borchard Self Portrait Prize 2021

Website: https://ruthborchard.org.uk/self-portrait-prize/

The Ruth Borchard Collection invites all artists to enter the 2021 Self Portrait Prize, a celebration of contemporary self portraiture. There are no restrictions on size or media and artists of all backgrounds and from any location are invited to enter. The only requirement is that the work must be a self portrait. Historically, entries have ranged from abstract to figurative in a variety of media, including painting, drawing, digital art, textiles, sculpture and ceramics. The panel of judges will select a winner to award the £10,000 prize. The long-listed works will gain exposure through inclusion in an online exhibition that will be shared and promoted across major art selling platforms. A selection of works from the long-list will be acquired for the Collection. A shortlist of works will be selected for a curated exhibition at Coventry Cathedral. The submission fee is £30.00 and £35.00 if payment is being made from overseas, Ruth Borchard Collection and Self-Portrait Prize are funded by a charitable foundation and the submission fee goes a small way to covering the cost of running the Competition.

Expires: April 1, 2021
