CFCCA are delighted to present an open call opportunity for contemporary visual artists based in the UK to apply for a fully funded 3 month artist residency at our partner in Taiwan –Taipei Artist Village. Taipei Artist Village is a 4 story building at the heart of Taipei City, conveniently located at the hub of Taipei’s business and government districts. The selected Artist in Residence will have access to a studio and living space located in the Artist Village and will work with the great team there to engage the local community through workshops, talks and events. This residency is for 3 months (12 weeks) and should take place between 7 October and 27 December 2019. The selected artist will receive economy return flights from UK to Taipei, materials expenses, and a daily amount for living expenses. In additional administrative, curatorial, language support and translation services are all provided by the experienced Taipei Artist Village staff. This residency opportunity is open to emerging artists within 6 years of starting their career who have not taken part in a previous CFCCA artist in residence exchange. Artists should have an outward focused practice and be socially engaged, please carefully consider how living and working on this residency will be reflected in your research, project and practice. Please note that this opportunity is not open to students currently enrolled on a BA Degree course.
