The Art House – Open Call: Solo Residencies 2019/20
The Art House is seeking proposals from individual artists who would like to develop their practice through one of three month-long solo residencies at our purpose-built studios in Wakefield. The opportunity includes: an artist fee of £1, 500, materials budget up to a maximum of £750, travel expenses up to a maximum of £250, free accommodation and complementary studio space at The Art House, access to their print studio and an opportunity to show either a new body of work or work in progress created during the residency in their exhibition space. The successful residents will also receive 1-2-1 support from the programme team in producing, developing, and discussing your work and critical practice. Proposals from artists who would like to work collaboratively with another artist will be accepted, although the fee will then be shared between collaborators. Proposals from artists working in all types of media are welcomed. This opportunity is not open to undergraduate students, or postgraduate students who would still be studying during the residency dates.
