The Cynthia Corbett Gallery – Young Masters Art Prize 2019

Contemporary artists working in any medium and from anywhere in the world, over the age of 18 are invited to apply for the 2019 edition of the Young Masters Art Prize, and for the Young Masters Maylis Grand Ceramics Prize. Artists applying for both the Young Masters Art Prize (with a winner’s prize of £1500 and two highly commended awards of £500) and Young Masters Maylis Grand Ceramics Prize (with a winner’s prize of £1000 and two highly commended awards of £50) must show an exceptional understanding of their creative medium alongside an awareness of the art of the past. For the ceramics prize, they must also demonstrate an awareness of the heritage of ceramic craft, which can be interpreted in the broadest international sense. In addition to the 2 awards there is also the Emerging Woman Artist Award of £1000 and a People’s Choice Award of £500. There is an application fee of £35 (+VAT if applicable) to apply with 4 artworks.
