Website: http://www.gasworks.org.uk/opportunities/fellowship-jamaica-and-trinidad-caribbean/

This opportunity will enable two UK based visual artists, art critics or curators to undertake a fully funded practice or research-based residency in Jamaica and Trinidad for two months, from March 1 to April 31 2017. Applicants have a choice of 2 options for the venue and period of the residency: NLS Kingston in Jamaica and Alice Yard in Trinidad. The Residency includes round trip travel, accommodation, a materials/project budget, an artist fee and a stipend for living costs. It is aimed at curators, art critics and visual artists focused on, or with a clear interest in, transatlantic relationships between the UK and the Caribbean region, specifically Jamaica and Trinidad and Tobago. This residency is part of a new programme focusing on trans-Atlantic exchanges between the UK, Jamaica and Trinidad. It is supported by British Council, its Caribbean partners including NLS Kingston in Jamaica and Alice Yard in Trinidad; and its UK partners including Delfina Foundation in partnership with Autograph and Gasworks and Hospitalfield Arts.
