Venice Agendas: The Contract

Website: http://www.veniceagendas.eu/open-call/

Live artists are invited to submit proposals for pop-up performances in Margate and Folkestone as part of Venice Agendas 2017: The Contract. Responding to the theme of The Contract, proposed performances should consider the role of the contract in all of our lives, from end-user agreements, through the social contract with government(s), our working arrangements and agreements we make with our friends and families, formal (like work contracts or mortgages) or informal (in person, on the phone or through social media). Performances should be pop-up in nature, and not require bespoke materials or resources. Performances that encourage or require participation, establishing or exploring a ‘contract’ with the audience are particularly encouraged. There is a fee of £500 plus up to £100 expenses.
