Young V&A – Design Residency
The Victoria and Albert Museum is inviting applications from UK based practitioners working in participatory and child-centred design who wish to develop their practice or portfolio of work. As a pilot project, this residency aims to inform understanding of how practitioners can contribute to Young V&A. It is intended that this residency explores inclusive design learning opportunities and ways that the traditional hierarchies of design process can be rebalanced to enable engagement with a diverse range of children and young people. It is anticipated that the resident will explore ways that the voices of children and young people can be paired effectively with creative professionals, valuing their lived experience and unique perspectives within participatory design processes. The V&A will provide a £8,000 bursary and a studio space within the Museum’s Sackler Centre for arts education.
Expires: October 27, 2021
